2005- Published
four Issue Guides on Reproductive Justice and Incarcerated
Women, Emergency Contraceptives, The Violence Against
Women Act, and Healing and Wholeness During the Holidays.
2005-Began
the writing and development of a Mental Health Public
Service Announcement with Women in Film to destigmatize
the use of mental health support services for Black women.
2005-
New class of the Advocate Training Program graduates with
dynamic projects focused on reproductive justice, sexual
violence prevention, mental health, and HIV/AIDS. We now
have 44 graduates of the ATP!
2005-
CABWHP collaborates with the Reproductive Rights Coalition
of Los Angeles to focus on the reproductive health of
teen girls of color and defeats Proposition 73.
2005-The
first informational meeting for a Bay Area Advocate Training
Program is held in Oakland. The Bay Area ATP classes are
set to begin in the Spring.
2006-
CABWHP's Mental Health PSA begins filming in January!
2006-
6th Annual Policy Summit will be held in February, in
Sacramento. Speakers and participants will address such
issues as Black women, weight and body image, Empowering
women, HIV/AIDS and microbicides, and our Mental Health
PSA.
